Minutes
Present: Chairperson Melissa Engel, Vice Chairman Thomas Cordeiro and members, William Devine, Christopher Goff, Scott Minnick, John Tuttle and Susan Weintraub. Also present was Town Labor Attorney Mark Sommaruga.
Chairperson Engel called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
Mr. Goff made a motion to enter Executive Session for the purpose of discussion of remaining contract issues involving the former incoming Town Manager, which will involve a) strategy and negotiations with respect to pending claims and b) the appointment and employment of a public officer. Seconded by Mr. Cordeiro. So voted (7-0). The Council entered Executive Session at 6:03 p.m.
The Council exited Executive Session at 6:31pm.
Mr. Cordeiro moved to approve an agreement resolving any and all claims, obligations and liabilities concerning a rescinded contract of employment between the Town and the former incoming Town Manager, based upon the terms discussed in executive session, subject to further legal review. Seconded by Mr. Goff. So voted (7-0).
Mr. Cordeiro moved to authorize Ms. Melissa Engel to execute any such agreement on behalf of the Town, pending any further legal review. Seconded by Mr. Devine. So voted (7-0).
Adjournment:
A motion was made by Mr. Devine, seconded by Mr. Cordeiro to adjourn the meeting at 6:34 p.m. So voted (7-0).
